I am a Social Worker in Private Practice with 14 years of experience in both the private and public sectors. My experience locally and abroad has equipped me to deal with people from all walks of life. I am passionate about influencing people, instilling hope and empowering individuals. I believe that every human being is a miracle predestined by a Creator and my dream is for every person to have a revelation of their own uniqueness and individuality.
I work with adults only, offering counseling support to couples (including pre-marital counseling) and individuals (ie. bereavement, stress, mild anxiety and depression, Covid-19 related challenges, etc.)
I am a trained SYMBIS Couples Facilitator. SYMBIS is an assessment tool from America which provides the couple (pre-engaged, engaged, married, entering 2nd marriages and blended families) with a 16-18 page report about their unique relationship dynamics (ie. individual red flags, how they view love, marriage mindset, expectations, personality styles, money matters and much much more). Contact me for a 30 minute consultation at R300 if you wish to find out more!
Although I consider myself to be a committed Christian, I am entirely comfortable working with clients from all religious backgrounds. I work from a Person-Centred Approach, meaning that the person is the focus of the therapy, not the problem. In addition, I combine various other therapeutic approaches to suit the client's individual needs.
I am also passionate about adoption and am comfortable offering mentoring and counselling services to adult adoptees. I have served as volunteer on the Executive Committee of the National Adoption Coalition South Africa (NACSA).
I have also coordinated a mentoring program for Akademia University in Centurion.
