Social Worker  ?
 Masters in International Child Welfare

Hi, my name is Benito Semommung. I am a Child Protection Specialist, Psychotherapist and internationally registered Private Social Worker who is highly motivated, adaptable and responsible with over 20 years’ experience gained working for both government and United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). I am a goal driven professional who always strives to see things through to completion. I have excellent reputation for resolving conflicts and promoting positive interpersonal relationships among individuals. My international exposure has enabled me to provide a range of psychosocial support and counselling services to children, teens, couples and families with diverse personalities, cultures, ethnicities and backgrounds.

I hold a Masters in International Child Welfare from University of East Anglia, England. My special area of interest is providing psychotherapy and counselling services to children, teens, couples and families who have experienced trauma, grief and loss, sexual exploitation and abuse, anxiety and depression, parenting and family difficulties. I also serve as an independent consultant and expert witness for the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) within my role as a private social worker.

As a mental health expert, I create a professional therapeutic environment which is welcoming and non-judgemental with empathy to people of all ages (particularly disadvantaged children), races and genders. I am able to provide both online and face to face support to clients.
