I am registered as both a Counselling and Educational Psychologist, working with families in distress. I qualified in the USA, Canada and Israel in Mediation as well as in Parental Rights and responsibilities and became interested in Children's Rights. In this capacity, I served on the UN Working Committee "Modern Slavery" in Geneva.
This led my path to further studies in forensic work at the University of the Free State and in the USA. Currently, I have narrowed my work in this field to Child Abuse and Assessments of Children between 10 and 14 years, in conflict with the law.
I do assessments in the educational field and follow-on therapy. My speciality lies in dealing with families in situations of separation and divorce assisting them to share parenting tasks and focus on the best interests of children by considering their developing needs, together with those of the parents.
I believe in assisting collegues and sharing knowledge informally and by running workshops in areas I am proficient and skilled in.
As a mother, grandmother and a person with a strong stand on diversity, I believe our children are our best assets and we have to give them the best opportunities to enhance their mental health to live happy and balanced lives.
