Clinical Psychologist  ?

HPCSA Number: PS 013 4457
Practice Number: 0737461

I am a Clinical Psychologist with experience in a wide range of settings. I completed my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and Community Counselling from Stellenbosch University. Thereafter, I interned at a Military hospital in Cape Town, and completed my community service at correctional services in Durban. In Private Practice, I have worked with medical and psychiatric inpatients, groups as well as outpatient therapy.

I work primarily from an integrative psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioural approach, but I prefer to tailor my intervention based on the patient and context. Thus my approach may include use of various other therapeutic techniques and may be either short or long term. Through the therapeutic process, I hope to create a safe, non-judgemental space in which you can be free to express yourself in whatever way you need. My aim is always to build a stronger self, better able to manage past and current difficulties.

I offer varied psychological services, including assessments (including intellectual assessments) and therapy for individuals, families and couples across the age spectrum, and with a range of difficulties, including (but not limited to) Mood Disorders, Anxiety, Bereavement, Interpersonal Difficulties, Trauma and Emotion Regulation. I am also able to conduct psychological health-related workshops and talks for groups of people wanting to improve mental health and wellbeing (including within corporate settings).
