My approach is centred on providing a safe space for therapy. This requires an open, compassionate and non-judgmental attitude. I place great value in the ‘therapeutic alliance’, which is the extent to which the therapist and the client work together.
Therapy has the potential to be many things. It can be a healing process, a support in times of distress, but also a process of personal growth.
I have a strong interest in Relational Psychoanalysis and I also work with Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy and Mindfulness where appropriate. I have experience in working with trauma, depression, anxiety, bereavement and loss, stress, adjustment difficulties, relationship difficulties and personal growth.
