As a Clinical Psychologist I believe that healing occurs best in a supportive and safe environment. Life can be challenging and we may feel lost, overwhelmed or a myriad of other emotions that we do not always understand. Our lives are unique, and as such the focus of therapy is aligned to your particular needs, whether it is to manage a crisis within yourself, or to better understand and function in relationships with others.
The foundation of my practice lies in a psychodynamic approach, which allows for an awareness and understanding of the often unconscious dynamics that contribute to the issue at hand. Therapy aims to bring these dynamics to awareness in order to create meaningful change.
I work with children, preteens, adolescents and adults, and provide brief or long-term therapy as is needed.
Reaching out for help can feel anxiety provoking, but it demonstrates courage and strength. And while these often do not feel like enough, they are part of the foundation from which we grow. Through exploring your challenges in a safe, reflective and supportive space, and through authentic and open engagement, therapy can facilitate a meaningful process of growth.
