Support Group

Overeaters Anonymous is a programme of recovery from compulsive eating in its numerous forms: overeating, bulimia and anorexia.

We use theTwelve Steps and Twelve Traditionsas adapted from Alcoholics Anonymous. Worldwide meetings and other tools provide a fellowship of experience, strength and hope.

There is a solution to the disease of compulsive overeating. We respect one anthers’ anonymity and share the programme of recovery with fellow sufferers.

There are no dues or fees for membership: we are self-supporting through our members’ contributions and simply ask newcomers to come and listen honestly, openly and willingly. For those who are new to OA,you will come to learn that this is not just about weight loss, weight gain, maintenance, obesity or diets.

Our programme addresses one’s physical, emotional and spiritual well-being and how to improve these three aspects in their lives. This is not a religious programme and does not promote any particular diet.

OA members differ in many ways, but we are united by our common disease and the solution we have found in the OA programme. We practiseunity with diversity and we welcome everyone who wants to stop eating compulsively.

If you want what we have, and are willing to go to any length to get it, we welcome you with open arms.

Welcome to Overeaters Anonymous.
