Counselling psychologists treat people dealing with normal life challenges, such as the loss of a job or divorce. They hold Master’s Degrees in Counselling Psychology and are registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa.
I believe that each individual has a wealth of resources, talents and skills that they may have lost sight of during the course of their own life journeys and difficulties. Or that they may not have noticed or valued these resources before. Thus each individual has the ability to change their reality and overcome life’s challenges. Therapy is therefore a valued tool which facilitates this process of change and discovery of these abilities on the journey. Every client is unique and every life experience is unique, together we can walk your journey of healing and self-discovery.
I am an integrative Counselling Psychologist who works primarily from a Cognitive Behavioural Therapeutic (CBT) perspective. However, I incorporate and make use of the therapeutic modalities that would best fit my client and enable them to develop to their full potential. I have a passion for working with a range of clients from all ages and backgrounds, addressing a wide ranges of difficulties. I also administer a range of assessment including career and subject choice assessments, psych-educational assessments and school readiness assessments.
